Read Biography

Dr Patsy Tremayne is a performance psychologist who has a private practice specifically focusing on performance enhancement for accredited medical trainees who need to study and pass major exams under often difficult and stressful conditions. She works with doctors around Australia and New Zealand from all the major specialties. Her PhD in Psychophysiology from the University of NSW has been particularly useful in helping doctors to study smarter through the optimal use of the brain. The key is learning to practise under pressure to perform on demand. In 2021 she was awarded a Fellowship of the Australian Psychological Society because of the diversity of her work. Patsy wrote a book in 2019 called “Ace Your Medical Exams”. Since then she has written another book with her son Kell Tremayne, called “Study Less and Still Blitz Your Medical Exams”. This latest book was released in 2022. Both books give lots of hints for registrars sitting various College exams or attending interviews to get onto training schemes.
