Title: Bridging Medical Dermatology and Aesthetics. Integrated Strategies for Acne, Rosacea and Facial Change in the Era of Weight Loss Therapies

Overview: Facial skin health and aesthetics play a pivotal role in supporting patient confidence and overall well‑being. Acne and rosacea remain among the most prevalent and challenging integrated dermatological conditions, affecting not only skin clarity but also mental health and confidence. Ongoing advancements in medical treatments and personalised long term treatment approaches are transforming outcomes and improving quality of life for patients living with these conditions.

In parallel, the exponential increase in medication driven weight loss therapy is reshaping the way clinicians approach individual aesthetic facial care. Changes in patients undergoing rapid weight loss from medication driven weight loss (MDWL) therapies goes beyond depletion of fat pads to include changes to collagen and elastin as well, leading to an accelerated facial ageing phenomenon.

This breakfast symposium integrates leading insights across three areas :

  • Acne management and CTMP®
  • Longitudinal management strategies for rosacea
  • Aesthetic management of medication driven rapid weight loss

Join us as we explore science‑backed, integrated facial health solutions that help patients achieve renewed confidence through clear and restored skin.

Speakers: Dr John Sullivan, Dr William Cranwell, Dr Belinda Welsh

Chair: Dr Belinda Welsh

Title: Could This Be Mycosis Fungoides? From Suspicion to Treatment in Real-World Practice.

Overview:
Mycosis fungoides cutaneous T-cell lymphoma is a rare malignancy that is frequently under-recognised in its early stages due to overlap with common inflammatory dermatoses. Diagnostic delay remains a major challenge and can significantly impact patient outcomes.

This sponsored breakfast symposium will provide practical education for dermatologists on recognising early MF CTCL, understanding disease staging, and applying appropriate diagnostic and referral pathways. The session will also include an overview of stage-appropriate management, including the role of skin-directed therapies such as chlormethine gel in suitable patients.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise early clinical features suggestive of MF CTCL
  • Differentiate MF CTCL from benign inflammatory skin conditions
  • Apply appropriate investigation strategies to support diagnosis
  • Identify when referral to specialist care is indicated
  • Understand which patients may be suitable for topical treatment with chlormethine gel and how it is administered
