When and where is the ACD ASM being held?

ACD ASM 2023 will be held from the 27 to 29 May at the International Convention & Exhibition Centre (ICC), Sydney, 2000

How do you get to the International Convention Centre?

The ICC is accessible by foot, public transport (train, ferry and light rail), car or taxi/rideshare and bicycle. The international airport is just 8kms away.  Please click on the following link for further information: https://www.iccsydney.com.au/visitors/getting-here.

How do you get around on public transport?

Opal makes getting around on public transport easy. Opal cards are smartcard tickets that you keep, reload and reuse to pay for travel on public transport. The Opal network includes train, bus, ferry and light rail services in Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Hunter, Illawarra and Southern Highlands. Alternatively, you can now also travel by contactless payments.  Enjoy the convenience of travelling with your credit or debit card or device. Simply tap on and off with the same card. Please see the Transport NSW website for more details.

Is there parking at the ASM?

The ICC offers two car parking facilities within the Exhibition Centre and Aware Super Theatre, compromising a total of 826 car spaces. View parking rates here. Additionally, there are secure car parks located in and around Darling Harbour.

How much is registration?

Registration costs vary depending on when you register and whether you are a ACD Fellow, Student or other health professionals, etc. See a full list of registration options, rates and inclusions here https://acdasm.com.au/registration/

Can I register onsite?

Registrations will be accepted onsite. However, we do recommend registering prior to the conference so that your name badge and delegate materials will be waiting for you on arrival. Full payment will be required by credit card or cash for onsite registrations.

When is the Registration Desk open onsite?

The Registration desk is located on level 2 in the Parkside Foyer and will be open during the following times:

Friday 26 May: 7:30 – 17:30

Saturday 27 May: 07:00 – 17:00

Sunday 28 May: 07:00 – 17:00

Monday 29 May: 07:00 – 14:00

Do I need to keep my name badge for everyday?

Yes, you need to wear your name badge every day you are attending to access the sessions and exhibition.

Can registration be shared with more than one person from the same organisation?

Registration at the ACD ASM is per person, and shared passes are not permitted.

Is there a cloakroom?

ICC Sydney provides complimentary cloakroom facilities for personal items. These are located beside the Customer Service Desk on the ground level of the Convention Centre.

Is catering provided?

Yes, catering is provided for all catering breaks including lunch, morning and afternoon teas. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know on your registration form so that an appropriate meal can be arranged.

Once at the ASM, please visit the Special Dietaries Buffet to collect your meal.

Will there be a photographer at the ASM?

There will be a photographer and camera person present over the course of the ASM capturing images and footage. Any image/videos will be retained by the College and Think Business Events. If you have any concerns with your image / video footage being taken and used in future promotional material, please advise the Conference Office acdasm@thinkbusinessevents.com.au

Will the presentations be recorded and available to delegates?

We are pleased to be offering a post event recording of the content from the meeting for those unable to join us onsite. This recorded content will not be livestreamed. The recorded content will include all sessions within the official scientific program. Some sponsored sessions and workshops may also be available and will be made available within a week of the conclusion of the ASM onsite meeting.

I am a speaker, who do I send my PowerPoint Presentation to?

All speakers must upload their presentation via the link emailed to them early May. Please refer to the presenter guidelines on the website for further information.

Where is the Speaker Preparation Room?

All speakers are required to check in at the Speaker’s Preparation room, at least 2 hours prior to their session, or the day prior. This will ensure their presentation can be opened and loaded onto the Conference computer system. Desktop PC’s will be available for final adjustments and updated files can be re-submitted at this stage. A dedicated technician will be available if you require assistance.

The Speaker’s Preparation Room is located on level 2 in the Meeting Room C2.1 and will be open during the following times:

Saturday 27 May: 07:00 – 17:00

Sunday 28 May: 07:00 – 17:00

Monday 29 May: 07:00 – 14:00
