His career has been extensive in the management of health care facilities and the provision of health services, predominately in the general practice arena. Gary is a past National and NSW State President AAPM. He is considered the ‘guru’ of practice management in Australia by his peers as well an as \u201cinfluencer\u201d in healthcare reform, especially in the areas of practice management and the quality agenda both in Australia and internationally. In 2021 he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of New England and in 2023 was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia with an AM for his contribution to medical administration and to professional organisations. He also holds an Academic Directors position with The University of New England Partnerships.<\/p>\n Gary takes a keen interest and involvement in health reform in Australia. He has provided advice to the Commonwealth Government on the management of health reform and has been member of various advisory groups to the Commonwealth and State Governments. Colleen has also been an active participant in healthcare projects of improvement and innovation with a number of Medical Colleges, the AMA and other Healthcare Associations.<\/p>\n Colleen has positions of AAPM State and National President.
