Lisa is a Dermatologist and Barrister, with degrees in Medicine, Law and Government from the University of Sydney. After being admitted to the NSW Bar in 2005, she appeared in medical negligence and disciplinary proceedings prior to commencing medical studies in 2009. Lisa has maintained a keen interest in the intersection between medicine, law and technology, and has been a member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists e-Health Committee since 2018.<\/p>\n

Dr Andrews is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Head of Immuno-Oncology at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and Research Fellow at Monash University.<\/p>\n

Dr Andrews has sub-specialty interests in the management of patients with cancers of the skin, chest, and head & neck. After completing specialist training in Medical Oncology, he completed a PhD in genomics and melanoma biology at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute and University of Melbourne, followed by a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center focused primarily on multi-platform biomarker studies of cancer immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Dr Andrews is clinical lead for melanoma registry projects through the Personalised Oncology Division at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research in Melbourne. He is a clinical trial investigator at The Alfred and leads several clinical and biospecimen-driven translational research projects evaluating the clinical outcomes, biomarkers, and fundamental biology of cancer therapies at Monash University.<\/p>\n

Dr Katherine Armour is a medical and cosmetic dermatologist.\u00a0 Her subspeciality interests include biologic treatments to treat inflammatory skin diseases, and the prevention and treatment of skin aging through the use of cosmeceuticals and energy-based devices. \u00a0In private practice, she consults at the Dermatology Institute of Victoria. She has posts at the Skin Health Institute, and the Alfred Hospital, where she attends biologics, photobiology, and general dermatology clinics.\u00a0 Katherine sits on the editorial board for the ASCD journal, Opinions and Progress in Cosmetic Dermatology, and is a member of the Australasian Medical Dermatology Special Interest Group, and the International Psoriasis Council.<\/p>\n

Dr Bevin Bhoyrul studied medicine at the University of Newcastle and trained in dermatology in Wales and Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He relocated to Australia in 2018 and now lives with his family in Melbourne. He now works at Sinclair Dermatology where he predominantly sees patients with hair and scalp disorders, as well as the Skin Health Institute. In addition to medical treatments, he performs hair transplantation. Dr Bhoyrul is actively involved in clinical research, especially in hair disorders.<\/p>\n

Associate Professor Liam Caffery is a health informatics research fellow at the University of Queensland’s Centre for Online Health and Dermatology Research Centre. Liam is the technology lead of the Australian Centre of Excellence for Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis. Liam holds several national and international leadership roles including Vice-President of the Australian Telehealth Society, chair of dermatology working group for the DICOM standards development organisation, and chair of the Tele-Imaging Taskforce for the International Dermoscopy Society. Liam recently led the research program that informed the ACD Position Statement of the use of AI in dermatology.<\/p>\n

Dr Alex Chamberlain is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and has been a visiting dermatologist at the Victorian Melanoma Service since 2005. He holds an appointment as Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University. Two years of his training were spent as Clinical Research Fellow at the Department of Dermatology, Churchill Hospital, Oxford. He was awarded an F.C Florance bequest and completed a further fellowship in dermoscopy and multi-disciplinary skin cancer management in Oxford in 2007.<\/p>\n

Dr Chamberlain has authored over 70 publications in peer-reviewed journals along with 5 book chapters. His main areas of expertise are dermoscopy, dermato-oncology including non-surgical management of skin cancer, along with disorders of nails.<\/p>\n

Dr Chamberlain has coordinated educational workshops and courses on skin cancer for the Australasian College of Dermatologists, Monash University, Skin and Cancer Foundation, Cancer Council of Victoria and HealthCert\/UQ. He was a contributor to the latest revision of the Cancer Council Australia Clinical Practice Guidelines for the management of cutaneous melanoma. In 2022 he co-edited the 2nd<\/sup> edition of \u201cDiagnostic Dermoscopy\u201d a textbook published by Wiley-Blackwell along with colleagues Dr Jonathan Bowling (UK) and Prof John Paoli (Sweden).<\/p>\n

Dr Liz Dawes-Higgs is a dermatologist, engineer and co-founder of Northern Sydney Dermatology & Laser – one of the largest dermatology practices in Australia. Dr Liz is also a skilled businesswoman, graduating from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is an active member of the CEO Institute. Her clinic has grown over the last 15 years ago into one of the largest and most successful clinics in Australia due to her business acumen and leadership skills.<\/p>\n

Dr Penelope De Lacavalerie is a Colorectal Surgeon in Sydney. She operates out of Northern Beaches , The Sydney Adventist and Prince of Wales Private Hospitals.\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr De Lacavalerie received her MBBS at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She started her surgical training in London and completed the general surgery fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Sydney. Following this, she pursued four years of research on rectal cancer, for which she received grants and scholarships including the NHMRC Clinical Postgraduate Scholarship. She then completed advanced colorectal surgery training accredited by CSSANZ<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

She is an avid conference presenter and invited speaker and is a Cochrane collaboration author.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, her main research interest is in the diagnoses, screening and treatment of HPV related anal dysplasia and anal cancer in high-risk populations <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Katie Dimarco is a Sydney based Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with Honours in 2004 and trained in psychiatry in Sydney, including a senior registrar position with the Anxiety Disorders Clinic, St Vincent’s Hospital. She has an RANZCP Advanced Training Certificate in Psychotherapies and is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney. She has worked in private practice since 2012 and consults in general adult psychiatry, psychotherapy, and medico-legal reports.<\/p>\n

Dr Samantha Eisman is a British\/South African trained dermatologist who has had more than 20 years experience in dermatology. In 2012, she relocated with her family to Melbourne and practices at Sinclair Dermatology where she has an interest in Alopecia and Hair Disorders. Bruna Gallo is a dermatologist currently pursuing a fellowship in melanoma at the Melanoma Institute Australia. She is also an MD candidate and a member of the Brazilian Dermatology Society. Bruna has a passion for studying skin cancers, with a particular interest in melanoma. She is dedicated to using advanced imaging techniques, such as dermoscopy and confocal microscopy, to improve the diagnosis and management of skin cancers.<\/p>\n

Monisha is an International Medical Graduate who obtained specialist dermatology qualifications in India, in 1993. She subsequently obtained her Australian qualifications in 2008.<\/p>\n

She is the Head of Department at Liverpool Hospital and is the Head of Phototherapy at The Skin Hospital.<\/p>\n

Melding her experience, she set up the first dedicated Pigmentary Disorders Clinic in Australia at The Skin Hospital in 2012.<\/p>\n

Monisha practices general dermatology with a focus on medical dermatology. She has an interest and expertise in immune mediated inflammatory diseases in dermatology like eczema, psoriasis and vitiligo.<\/p>\n

She has an interest in clinical research and is a reviewer for both national and international journals.<\/p>\n

She holds an A\/Prof appointment with WSU and a conjoint appointment with UNSW too.<\/p>\n

She enjoys teaching and identifies as a life long learner.<\/p>\n

She is passionate about acknowledging and addressing inequity in health care and promoting diversity in workplaces.<\/p>\n

Anne Halbert is a Dermatologist with over 30 years of experience. After training in Dermatology in Perth, she undertook advanced training in Paediatric Dermatology in the US. She then commenced private practice and joined the Dermatology Department at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, where she was subsequently Head of Department for 17 years. She still consults at Perth Children\u2019s Hospital and runs a private practice with special interest and expertise in paediatric and adolescent skin conditions. She is an Associate Professor of Dermatology with the University of Western Australia and is on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Paediatric Dermatology.<\/p>\n

Dr Genevieve Ho is currently a dermatology research fellow at the Melanoma Institute Australia and a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. Her research interests are in skin cancer and reflectance confocal microscopy. She has also completed a Master of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Sydney.<\/p>\n

\u00c5sa Ingvar, MD PhD, is a consultant dermatologist and Mohs surgeon from Lund, Sweden. She has a special interest in skin cancer, both clinically and in research. At Sk\u00e5ne University Hospital and the Health Care Region of Sk\u00e5ne, Dr Ingvar is has been responsible for the standardized care pathway for melanoma and the implementation of teledermoscopy. In research she is a part of the Lund Melanoma Study Group and Lund University Skin Cancer Research Group. Her primary research focus is early detection, diagnostic aids (primarily based on artificial intelligence), and prevention. Dr Ingvar is currently doing a research fellowship at Monash University with Associate Professor Victoria Mar.<\/p>\n

Joslin Johal is an honours research student at the University of New South Wales with a strong interest in dermatology. Joslin has spent the past year working in collaboration with her supervisor, Prof D\u00e9d\u00e9e Murrell, on a study of glucocorticoid morbidity in patients with autoimmune blistering diseases. Her multi-centre research has involved close collaboration with dermatological professionals around the world. Through her work, Joslin hopes to contribute to the development of more effective and safe treatment guidelines for those affected by autoimmune blistering disease, improving patient outcomes and quality of life. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Dr Amreeta Kaur is a current research fellow working with A\/Prof Rosemary Nixon at the Occupational Dermatology Research and Education Centre (ODREC) at Skin Health Institute, Carlton, Melbourne. She completed an undergraduate degree in the Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours) and then completed post graduate study in the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne. She has completed 3 years of Basic Physician Training (BPT) including both the written and clinical exams. Her special interests are contact dermatitis and occupational dermatology.<\/p>\n

Dr Ahmed Kazmi is a UK trained dual accredited dermatologist and GP. He has particular experience in hair and scalp disorders and a special interest in medical education, JAK inhibitors, skin of colour dermatology, psychodermatology and transgender medicine. He is currently working as a dermatology fellow in Australia and in the process of gaining recognition as an Australian specialist dermatologist via the international medical graduate pathway.<\/p>\n

Prof Johannes Kern is a conjoint Professor of Dermatology, Monash University and Deputy Director Dermatology, Alfred Health. He leads the Experimental Dermatology Group at the University of Queensland Diamantina Institute in Brisbane, Australia and is the deputy director of the Australian Skin and Skin Cancer Research Centre in Brisbane. Prof Khosrotehrani is passionate about the development of academic medicine and future academic clinicians and leads this effort in dermatology as the chair of Academic Research Committee at the Australasian College of Dermatologists, the President of the Australasian Society for Dermatology Research and the co-Editor in Chief of the Australasian Journal of Dermatology and a board member of the International Society for Investigative Dermatology.<\/p>\n

Craig has over 40 years of business, director and leadership experience. He was with PwC for over 31 years, and as a partner for 20 years on the national executive and a business leader for the tax and private client teams.<\/p>\n

He is currently chair of Key Assets Australia and NZ boards (foster care and children services), and on the Anglican Aid (overseas development) board.<\/p>\n

Craig was diagnosed with stage 1V melanoma in 2013 and given less than 6 months to live. He is now healthy after the MIA clinical trial. This experience provided him with insights into clinical trials and reinforced a personal depth and resilience that complements his business experience in the biotech and healthcare sectors.<\/p>\n

He is currently on the MIA Research and strategic advisory groups, on the executive and consumer committees for the ACEMID skin imaging research project, and CI\/AI for various research projects.<\/p>\n

Peter McCluskey is Professor & Chair of Ophthalmology at The University of Sydney and Director of the Save Sight Institute (SSI) at Sydney Eye Hospital. He is an internationally recognised inflammatory eye disease specialist. He is an author of more than 350 peer reviewed papers, 24 book chapters, 2 apps and 4 books. His H-index is currently 56.<\/p>\n

He is a dedicated teacher who has received distinguished service awards from APAO, RANZCO and AAO for his teaching contributions. On Australia Day 2020 he was made an Officer in the Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to Ophthalmology and the community. Associate Professor Gillian Marshman gained fellowship in the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1990.\u00a0 She undertook a post fellowship research and clinical job at Bristol, Royal Infirmary and Royal United Hospital, Bath dermatology department for 18 months.\u00a0 She has been a senior visiting consultant at Flinders Medical Centre and Repatriation General Hospital in Adelaide, for the last 25 years.\u00a0 Her interests include significant inflammatory disease, and she oversees the Biologics clinic at FMC.\u00a0 She also undertakes a specialty vulval clinic, as well as an inflammatory rheumatology skin clinic monthly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She has been on the board of censors of the College, and is actively involved in teaching and supervising Registrars.\u00a0 She is Chair of the Accreditation Committee for Registrar training positions.\u00a0 She is a member of Flinders Overseas Health Group, and regularly visits West Timor, where she assists in a program of sustainable health through education in dermatology and wider medicine.\u00a0 She has an active interest in clinical research and has more recently initiated a multi-disciplinary hidradenitis suppurative clinic at the hospital.<\/p>\n

Associate Professor Rosemary Nixon AM qualified as a dermatologist in 1988 and as an occupational physician in 1994, being the only person with Australian qualifications in both specialties. She started the inaugural Contact Dermatitis Clinic at the Skin and Cancer Foundation in Melbourne in late 1987 and then the Occupational Dermatology Clinic in 1993, which transferred to the then Skin and Cancer Foundation in 2001, where she also established a small research group, the Occupational Dermatology Research and Education Centre (ODREC).<\/p>\n

Assoc Professor David Orchard is a Paediatric Dermatologist, graduating from medicine at the University of Melbourne and then completing FACD in Victoria in 1998. He then completed a Fellowship of Paediatric Dermatology in Denver, USA in 2000.<\/p>\n

Assoc Professor Orchard has been a staff specialist at the Royal Children\u2019s Hospital for over 20 years and was the Director of Dermatology for 10 years. He has private rooms in Kew and is an Associate editor of the Australasian Journal of Dermatology.<\/p>\n

Dr Marius Rademaker BM FRCP(Edin) FRACP FNZDSI DM FACD is a medical and paediatric dermatologist in New Zealand. He was born in the Netherlands, went to primary school in the USA, secondary school in Mexico and Medical School in the United Kingdom. He has worked in New Zealand for 30 years and until recently was a Professor of Dermatology (Waikato Clinical School, Auckland University School of Medicine) and Clinical Director\/Head of the Dermatology Department, Waikato Hospital District Health Board.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Rademaker has had a long interest in clinical research, pharmacovigilance and pharmacoeconomics having been chair of the NZ Medicines Adverse Reactions Committee (MARC) and deputy chair of the Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advisory Committee (PTAC) which advises which medicines should be purchased by the NZ Government. He has been lead author on a number of Australian\/New Zealand consensus statements including on the management of acne, rosacea, atopic eczema, and psoriasis, and has over 200 research publications.<\/p>\n

Dr Susan Robertson is a consultant dermatologist in Melbourne and current Director of Dermatology at the Royal Children\u2019s Hospital. She has completed a fellowship in epidermolysis bullosa at St John\u2019s Institute of Dermatology and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. She has a subspecialty interest in genetic skin disorders and is an honorary fellow of the Murdoch Children\u2019s Research Institute and has been an investigator for a number of dermatology research studies, including clinical trials for new therapies in epidermolysis bullosa.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She is honorary senior lecturer at The University of Melbourne and holds academic positions at The Royal Children\u2019s Hospital and the Skin Health Institute.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Dr Sammel is a Sydney based rheumatologist and vasculitis specialist. He is the head of the rheumatology department at Prince of Wales Hospital where he leads the rheumatology vasculitis service and weekly clinic which manages patients with ANCA associated vasculitis, polyarteritis nodosa, Behcet, IgG4 and large vessel and single organ forms of vasculitis. He is a founding member and current director of the Australian and New Zealand Vasculitis Society (ANZVASC) and is a conjoint senior lecturer at UNSW with more than 25 vasculitis peer reviewed publications.<\/p>\n

Dr Sammel completed rheumatology training in Sydney before undertaking a vascular medicine fellowship at St Vincent\u2019s Hospital, Darlinghurst and a clinical observership with the rheumatology vasculitis service at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA. He completed a PhD in giant cell arteritis in 2020 and has spoken on ANCA and giant cell vasculitis at national and international conferences.<\/p>\n

Additional Professor Kanika Sahni works as a faculty at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi since 2014 where she practices both general dermatology and participates in the Dermatosurgery and Laser services and Pigmentary and Psoriasis clinics. She trained at two of the most prestigious medical institutes in India, (AIIMS and PGIMER) completing her dermatology training in 2009. She is an active researcher with numerous publications and invited presentations including live surgical workshops, her areas of research interest being pigmentary disorders, vitiligo, dermatologic surgery, skin cancer surgery, fat transfer and aesthetic dermatology. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

She is past recipient of the Imrich Sarkany Non European memorial scholarship by the EADV and has also trained in Aesthetic Dermatology and Lasers at Dallas, Texas through the International Society of Dermatology mentorship program. She has recently cleared the MRCP, SCE in Dermatology. She is also the recipient of the International Society of Dermatology (ISD) scholarship and the BAD scholarship in 2009 and the Kataria memorial gold medal for best postgraduate at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Currently, she is beginning collaborative research with the Royal Children\u2019s Hospital, Melbourne.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

She is a member of the IADVL Academy, the premier Indian body for guiding the Indian Association of Dermatologists Venereologists and Leprologists on academic activities and publications. She was also a past member of the IADVL Special Interest Group on Dermatosurgery. She serves on the editorial board of IJDVL and IDOJ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He is Vice-President of the International Society of Dermatology and Vice President of the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology. He is assistant editor of the Australasian Journal of Dermatology.<\/p>\n

He was awarded Honorary Life Membership of the American Dermatology Association in 2012 and Honorary Life membership of both the British Association of Dermatologists and the Ukrainian Hair research Society in 2021.<\/p>\n

Rod Sinclair has co-authored the section of Dermatology in the Oxford Textbook of Medicine and the chapters on Hair in Rook and Bologna. He has over 750 research publications.<\/p>\n

Dr Lynda Spelman is a founder and the Chair of the Queensland Institute of Dermatology Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to training, research, and the provision of specialist dermatological services to patients across Queensland. Dr Spelman also practices at Gabba Dermatology where she sees her general dermatology patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is the Principal Investigator of Veracity Clinical Research. As a graduate of the University of Queensland and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, she has worked as a specialist dermatologist in Australia for more than 20 years. Dr Spelman has an extensive 25-year history of involvement in clinical research, having conducted studies in trials for a wide range of dermatological conditions, including atopic dermatitis\/eczema, chronic plaque psoriasis, psoriatic nail disease, palmoplantar psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, seborrheic keratosis, and superficial and nodular basal cell carcinoma.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her involvement in Veracity allows her to continue to dedicate her time to research with the hope of providing new and more effective treatment options for patients with skin conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Duncan has run a dermatologic surgery practice in Kiama for over 20 years that incorporates GPs with a Special Interest (GPSIs) in skin cancer. He established a Mohs surgery unit at Wollongong Day Surgery in 2020, after providing a Mohs service for Southern NSW patients at The Skin Hospital (Westmead) for over 15 years. He completed his FACD in 2000 and then a Mohs surgery and Laser Fellowship at the Skin & Cancer Foundation (Westmead) in 2001 He became a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery in 2002.<\/p>\n

He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong with a special interest in medical education and assessment. He has a long-time commitment to teaching, selecting and examining medical students, as well as training dermatology and general practice registrars in a private practice setting. He is a former Chief Examiner, Procedural and NSW Censor for the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He is a former Assistant Editor of the Australasian Journal of Dermatology.<\/p>\n

He is the co-editor and contributing author of two textbooks: \u201cDermatologic Surgery: A Manual of Defect Repair Options (2nd<\/sup> edition)\u201d recently published by McGraw Hill, in addition to the companion publication \u201cClinical Cases in Dermatologic Surgery\u201d, soon to be released by the same publisher.<\/p>\n

He was awarded a Certificate of Meritorious Service from the ACD in 2016.<\/p>\n

Dr Cristina Vico-Alonso is a Madrid based consultant dermatologist currently collaborating with the Victorian Melanoma Service on the ACEMID study and other research projects.\u00a0She completed training in Dermatology and Venereology at the 12 de Octubre University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. During the residency, she had the opportunity of undertaking a rotation at the melanoma unit in the UCSF, San Francisco. She has been a board member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology (AEDV) and a board member in National Commission of medical specialties in the Spanish Department of Health. After finalizing the training period in 2020, she started a role as a general dermatologist at the same hospital where she was trained. She is engaged on the Lymphoma and Melanoma Unit and the Vascular Anomalies Clinic, where she performs laser procedures, mostly in infants. Moreover, she has conducted treatment trials in the field of melanoma, lymphoma, psoriasis and bullous diseases. Recently, she has joined Morales Raya Clinic, Madrid, where she coordinates the laser unit.<\/p>\n
