Professor Maryam Daneshpazhooh is the head of the Ward of Dermatology at Razi Hospital, a referral skin hospital affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She started her career as assistant professor of dermatology after graduating from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She focused on the autoimmune bullous diseases especially pemphigus vulgaris (PV) which is more prevalent in Iran, as her main interest. By working in a busy clinic where tens of patients with autoimmune bullous diseases (ABD) are seen on a regular basis, she gained valuable experience diagnosing and treating autoimmune bullous diseases including PV.

After the introduction of rituximab and the discovery of its miraculous effect in the treatment of PV, she got the opportunity to become familiar with this treatment modality. The availability of biosimilar rituximab in her country made it possible for her to treat hundreds of patients with this drug. Her expertise in rituximab goes well beyond PV, as she has used it in other off-label indications including other ABDs and other dermatologic indications. Professor Daneshpazhooh has published more than 190 articles and is a member of the EADV task force on Autoimmune Bullous Diseases.

Caterina is a mental health professional with over 15 years of experience in higher education and the public sector. Her work at the Australasian College of Dermatologists has seen her develop programs for trainees and support trainees in crisis situation. Caterina works closely with directors of training, the Trainee representative committee, supervisors of training, and college to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all trainees. Caterina engages trainees with empathy and understanding, with the aim of providing the best support, strategies and workable options to ensure trainees have a positive experience at college. Caterina also delivers mental health first aid training for fellows and trainees at college.

Alexandra Diggles is an advanced practice physiotherapist working in private practice in Brisbane. She is currently undergoing the highest level of recognised training in Australia and is a registrar of the Australian college of Physiotherapists in sub-specialty of women’s, men’s and pelvic health.

Alexandra has worked in both public and private settings in lead roles for primary contact pelvic health clinics. She has completed post-graduate study in rehabilitation and has undertaken a Master’s in public health.

She is passionate about improving care and access to care for people with pelvic pain and a key element in her management is ensuring a complete and holistic plan that provides up-to-date treatment options. She has a keen interest in researching and promoting the role of multidisciplinary care for pelvic pain management.

Jeff Donovan

Dr. Jeff Donovan is a US and Canadian board-certified dermatologist specializing exclusively in the treatment of hair loss. He currently directs the Donovan Hair Clinic, an international hair loss clinic devoted to helping children and adults with treatment refractory hair disorders.

Dr. Donovan is currently the President of the Canadian Hair Loss Foundation, a non-profit organization which supports education and research in hair loss. He serves on the board of directors of the Scarring Alopecia Foundation. He is a faculty member of the Department of Dermatology at the University of British Columbia.

She is the Founder and Chair of the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia, Co-Developer of the Periods, Pain and Endometriosis (PPEPTalk) Schools Program, and CEO of Alyra Biotech developing innovative products for pelvic pain.

Robert Kelly

Associate Professor Robert Kelly is the Head of Clinical Dermatology at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. His clinical and research interests include inflammatory conditions of the leg including pyoderma gangrenosum, vasculitis, panniculitis as well as wound healing. He has established a specialist clinic at St Vincent’s Melbourne specialising in these conditions. He has published extensively in this area and co-authored a chapter in the textbook “Dermatology” by Bolgnia et al on vascular disorders. He lectures regularly and is involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching.

He has been actively involved with many clinical and administrative roles for his hospital and for College and has also served as a Director on the College Board and was Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. He was awarded a Certificate of Meritorious Service by the College in 2021.

Johannes Kern

Prof Johannes S. Kern MD, PhD is a clinical academic Dermatologist. He obtained a PhD in Biology from the Spemann Graduate School of Biology and Medicine, University of Freiburg, Germany and trained in Dermatology and Dermatopathology with German and European Board Certification. After relocating to Melbourne he became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2016. He is currently the Head of Research – Dermatology, at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne. He is the PI in over 20 ongoing clinical trials and translational research projects for inflammatory skin conditions, including blistering skin diseases. He also runs a subspecialty nail procedure list as part of the nail clinic at the Skin Health Institute, Carlton.

Dr Shoban Manoharan

Dr Shobhan Manoharan is the Founder and Clinical Lead of Brisbane Skin in Queensland.

He has a special interest in combination treatments for complicated scars, laser rejuvenation, pigment and skin of colour.

Dr. Manoharan studied medicine at the University of Queensland, worked in the United Kingdom and Australia, gained extensive laser surgery experience in Australia the United States, and has sub-specialised in aesthetic and laser dermatology.

Actively involved in education, he has a major role in the training of dermatology registrars, junior doctors, general practitioners, pharmacists and medical students. Dr. Manoharan has published and presented extensively internationally on general, aesthetic and laser dermatology.

He is a consultant and KOL for a number of laser and pharmaceutical companies and is prominent in the media for commentary on aesthetic treatments.

Dr Lydia Pathman

Dr Pathman is a paediatrician working at the Royal Children’s Hospital in a fellow’s role in vascular anomalies and paediatric dermatology. She is also working on a large research trial studying the use of targeted therapies for children with genetically sequenced mosaic vascular anomalies.

Dr Pathman completed her medical degree with Honours at the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. She completed her paediatric training through the Royal Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital. She has worked remotely in Alice Springs and trained in a range of fields including indigenous health, oncology, forensic medicine and intensive care.

Associate Professor Roderic Phillips

Associate Professor Roderic Phillips trained in paediatric dermatology at Great Ormond St Hospital, London. Over the past 25 years as a paediatric skin specialist at the Royal Children’s Hospital, one of his particular clinical interests has been in the field of vascular birthmarks and lesions. He is currently involved in several research projects aimed at improving outcomes in these children.

Dr Marius Rademaker BM FRCP(Edin) FRACP FNZDSI DM FACD (Hon) is an Honorary Associate Professor at Waikato Clinical School (Auckland University School of Medicine). Until recently he was Clinical Director and Head of the Dermatology Department, Waikato Hospital District Health Board

Dr Rademaker is a member of the COVID-19 task force of the Australasian College of Dermatology and a member of the New Zealand COVID-19 Treatment Advisory Group. He is a member of New Zealand’s Medicines Adverse Reactions Committee (MARC) and deputy chair of the Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advisory Committee (PTAC). He has been lead author on a number of consensus statements on the use of immune-modulators in dermatology.

Michelle Rodrigues

Dr. Rodrigues is a Melbourne-based dermatologist with globally renowned expertise in pigmentary disorders, skin of colour dermatology and cultural humility in healthcare. She is the founder and director of Chroma Dermatology, Australia’s first dedicated dermatology centre for pigmentary disorders and skin of colour. She is honorary senior lecturer at The University of Melbourne and holds academic positions at The Royal Children’s Hospital and the Skin Health Institute.

Dr. Rodrigues enjoys education, mentoring and research as evidenced by her numerous peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, invited lectures and continued international research collaborations.

Adjunct Associate Professor Greg Siller

Greg Siller holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship with the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland and is a senior visiting medical officer in the Department of Dermatology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He graduated FACD in 1994 and has been was awarded a Presidential Citation for his services to the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

He has been practice principal of Central Brisbane Dermatology for more than 20 years where he runs his private practice and a clinical research unit with interests in the non-surgical management of skin cancer.

Dr Sachin Vaidya completed his intial dermatology training in India at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in 2005 and obtained the Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) in 2012.

Sachin runs a busy private clinics at Dermatology SA . He also works as a visiting medical specialist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and runs monthly vitiligo clinics. He enjoys supervising and teaching medical students and registrars.

His interests are surgical dermatology ,tropical skin diseases and pigmentary skin conditions. Dr Vaidya also has a keen interest in surgical management of stable vitiligo

Dr Vaidya has been a committee member for the Vitiligo Association of Australia (VAA) since 2013. He is also member of Australasian College of Dermatologist (ACD), Australian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologist (ASCD) and Associations of Cutaneous Surgeons of India (ASCI).

I am currently a first year dermatology trainee based at Skin Health Institute and Healesville, Victoria in 2022. I have also worked as an unaccredited registrar at the Victorian Melanoma Service, sub-investigator for several multinational dermatology clinical trials at the Skin Health Institute and general medical registrar at Monash Health. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my two toddlers and playing violin with musical orchestras and ensembles.

Following prior procedural rural general practice Lachlan has been a Dermatologist for 22 years. In addition to private practice at Dermatology SA he was Head of Dermatology Unit at Women’s and Children’s Hospital 2001-2021, has provided Dermatology services to Royal Darwin and Katherine Hospitals since 2005 and regularly visits rural locations. A commitment to providing accessible general, paediatric and rural Dermatology continues. Teaching and mentoring specialty trainees and general practice colleagues is an additional focus.
